Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2016 - How to Change Web Client Date Format.

Hi all,

This article explains how to change the date format in Microsoft Dynamics NAV web client.
I have tested this on Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2016. For previous version i cannot guarantee that steps remain same.

So if you are facing this issue, let's start with a thanks to +Suresh Miglani who suggested to have this article.

A Brief History -
1. Microsoft Dynamics Windows Client supports the date format as per Client System Date Format.

2. Server Processes Like NAS and Web services support Date Format as per Defined in the service tier.

But Navision web client does not correspond to either of these two settings for date format.

Issue -
My Client Date Format is DD-MM-YYYY (Indian Date Format).

My Service Tier is configured as Server Time Zone, which is configured as Indian Date Format.

But when i Run my web client and try to create a Sales Order the date format is US.

How to Resolve -

In Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2016, web client you can configure date format as per your requirement in the web client by selecting the region where are operating from.

Once Changed there just sign out and sign back to get date format updated in web client.

MSDYN365BC - Data Upgrade To Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central on premises.

Hi Readers, We have already talked about the number of steps for upgrading to Business Central on Premises from different NAV versions. After that article, I received multiple requests for an article which list down steps for Data Migration. In this article, we will discuss steps of data migration to MSDYN365BC (on-Prem) from NAV 2017. For this article, I am considering a Cronus Demo Database without any customization. For an actual upgrade project, we will have to complete object merge using compare and Merge process. After the Merge Process, the next step is data migration. Let's discuss those steps. Direct Upgrade to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (on-Prem) is from following versions - 1. NAV 2015. 2. NAV 2016. 3. NAV 2017. 4. NAV 2018.
